Rivian, a Michigan startup that made a splash at the LA Auto Show last year, might be nearing the big time.

“For sustained speed and freedom from trouble the Ford has got ever(y) other car skinned,” says a letter to Henry Ford signed “Clyde Barrow.”

The anticipated truck – the Jeep Gladiator, not Scrambler – will be unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show after Thanksgiving.
