Michigan salvaged some Big Ten pride after a disappointing men’s tournament for the conference’s teams, overcoming LSU 86-78 to reach the Sweet 16.

The Michigan Wolverines took it to rival Michigan State, led by 19 points from Franz Wagner, 14 points and 10 rebounds from Hunter Dickinson.

Graduate transfer quarterback Alan Bowman committed to Michigan football. He played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders previously.

The Wolverines got 21 points from Franz Wagner and 16 points from Isaiah Livers.

Some of Michigan’s athletes are making it known they want to play and disagree with the two week pause in athletic activities.

Down 28-0, Michigan faced its biggest home halftime deficit since The Big House opened in 1927. The Wolverines went on to lose 49-11 to fall to 1-3.
